one thing I have to warn you about here mate. When it comes to using a VTR for Single Framing Animation it Kicks the SH*T out of the VTR's Mechanism be VERY VERY Careful of buying used Single Frame Accurate VTR's as they may well not be that accurate anymore due to the TREMENDOUS Strain onthe Transport mech that all that rewinding/prerolling puts on the machine. You may want to look to a Service Buraue for yer Single Frame output needs rather than purchasing VERY Expensive Equipment or go with yer 16 mm Film idea.I saw in a Recent Review in Amazing Amiga a comparison of a LOW Priced Film Recorder(about $1800) which is Analog and the Polariod Digital Ci-3000 (about $5000) and both had excellent output, both also have Pin Accurate Motion Picture Film Recorder Backs avail which are PERFECT for Single Framing. So for Approx $3000 total ya can get the Analog Model with the Motion Picture Filmback(guessing on the motion picture film back price it may be considerably less than the $1200 I'm guesssing at here)
