Hi; I just had to write this message; its not often that we hear of something that goes right with an Amiga Vendor. Most often, someone's Visa got charged before the product shipped, or the vendor went of biz, or version 5.0 of something has drastic bugs…we never hear the good stuff. Well, here's some good stuff. As I type this, my hard disk LED is flickering, polling my CD-ROM drive to see if a disk is inserted. The product that is doing the flickering is XETEC's CD-ROM File System. This software had the easiest install I've seen in a while. You tell it to find your SCSI device (it did), and what your controller is. You can play with some settings (well explained in the manual) and tell it to go to work. Two minutes later, my Amiga is on a talking terms with my Toshiba CD-ROM!! The price direct from Xetec was about $50; it included UPS Blue shipment, an audio utility, and two CD-ROMs (Fish and More Iⅈ goes up to FF470). This is a great product at a great price. Expect to see a lot of older SCSI ROM's getting dumped soon (the new generation just hit)…bargains for the AmigaHeads!! Jonathan – via Whap!
