>Why are you taking this so personally?
Do you _read_ your messages before you send them? "If you worked in the
customer service department… you would have been fired…" Calling the
man a "jerk" doesn't exactly help matters, you know.
>How hard would it be to clone MS Word from the Mac to the Amiga?
Well, given that MS Word is an MS product — you don't WANT IT ON AN AMIGA.
MS just _loves_ to break the development "rules" for whatever platform they
program on. MS Word for MAC has died almost _every_ time Apple updated
their operating system. Its latest fiasco was when the Quadra MACs came
out. MS uses some self-modifying code, a BIG no-no with `040's.
"Reinventing the wheel" is almost a requirement unless you want unfriendly
visits from MS's and Lotus' lawyers.
Fox Software was able to get off the ground because they were able to get a
little piece of a _BIG_ pie. The Amiga "Pie" is quite a bit smaller, thank
you. And I believe Fox used the $$ from their DOS version to help pay for
the Mac version.
