Mergemem for TAD Pro
The TAD Pro manual mentions using mergemem to get memory on different
boards contiguous. I have an A2000 with a GVP G-Force 030, GVP Series II
SCSI, and a CBM memory board. Altogether I have 12 MEGS of memory (5 MEG –
32 bit, 4 Meg on the SCSI cntrl, and 2 on the CBM card plus 1 Meg chip ram.
The 32 bit memory gets used by my ZKICKed 2.04 and the programs that
start up, leaving about 3.7 MEG of 32 bit. None of the 16 bit fast memory
is used.
When I attempted to load a 1788 x 1719 GIF file I get a "NOT ENOUGH
MEMORY" error. Now I know the image will take at least 6 Meg if it's gray
scale, but 12 Meg if it's colour. I think it's B&W, since that's how
PageStream loaded it in.
When I tried to run mergemem (copyed from my WB1.3) it says "No merging
possible". How do I get TAD Pro to recognize the fact I have more than 4
Meg of contiguous memory?
