Jonathan- We have the CD-I unit for experimental purposes. Here at the Smithsonian we are working on electronic imaging, doing some real interesting things I might add. We have been cataloging images to laser disks for some years now but are now in the process of exploring the capabilities of CD-ROM for storage and distribution on photographs and art. Apple is working with us and I am personally trying to get Commodore and AMIGA developers involved also – without much luck I might add. The future of photography is electronic and every photographer will have an "electronic darkroom" on his desk within the next couple of years. Already most major newspapers are going that way.
