Erik, Thanks for your comments. I've already got Macs and the much mentioned A1000. What does "Handwriting on the wall" mean to you? I'm not sure what you are trying to get across there. Knock the AMAX? Sorry you took it that way. I have been around long enough to realize that it is the HD that is the problem, not the AMAX. it is a case of getting hardware when affordable. If I'ld had a crystal ball, I'ld have known to not get a C-Ltd drive period. Salesmen sometimes see commissions and are not concerned about what is happening with the company that is providing them. What is the Phoenix board? What does it do? What does it have to enhance my system? I haven't heard of this as I barely have time to find a copy of Amiga World … much less read it.
