Bill, I truly am Impulse's authorized CIS representative. Unfortunately, as I am in Miami and Impulse is in Minneapolis, I often have to read questions like yours and relate them to Mike Halvorson et. al. before I can provide an intelligent answer. There is no "bug" in the use of backgrounds and transparent objects. Sure, transparent objects become opaque in front of backgrounds, but that's because backgrounds were a last minute addition to the software. The new release will deal with this. I am not able to comment on any changes to the rendering engine at this time. Stay tuned. –Rick Rodriguez
