As your load to produce goes up you will find that more SGIs will come online,
its price is dropping fast. Soon it will be close to the price for a MAXED out
AMIGA.
In my note to Eric, I outlined my reasons for my position. I have A Toaster
which I lease it to an edit suite. On the weekends, I bring it home for my
children who are aspiring artist. It has wonderful training value.
I feel that someone as talented as Eric would be doing himself a disservice to
invest heavily in a closed end system. Sure, he may not be able to support an
SGI now, but expanding his reach to those machines is very possible in this
region. (San Francisco Bay) He is still young enough to learn anything he wants
to. Hell, I'm 45 and still learning.
