Problematic??? Like what kind of problems? Only occasionally will driver
updates help you out with problems!
Current version of the Trantor CD-ROM driver for Macintosh is 1.36. Version
3.0, which handles the multi-session PhotoCD drives from Texel, Sony, and
Toshiba will be shipping sometime this month.
NEC has different version numbers for the drivers they license from
Trantor. You should contact NEC technical support if you have troubles…

You should have versions of Foreign File Access 1.1.1 and 2.0.2 with
non-3.x driver versions. The new 4.0 versions of Foreign File Access files
won't work properly with drivers prior to 3.0
