Iain, PPage only uses Compugraphic fonts to produce outlines on screen, but to print to a PS device it needs the Type 1 Postscript substitutes. When you print to a postscript file or postscript device you need to have Postscript fonts. The compugraphic fonts will be substituted by PPage with the downloadable Postscript version <IF> it is available to the program and in the PS directory of CGFonts: In this PS directory the fonts have a .psfont extension, these are expanded versions of the usually compressed postscript fonts and can be generated using Fontmanager and Type 1 PS fonts. If you look in the CGFonts directory you will find an alias list called psfont.alias. Examine this file in an editor and you'll find for example that Triumvirate is Helvetica. Without the fonts in your PS directory, it is up to the imagesetter or postscript device's storage device to find the font called for by the Postscript program file. If the bureau you use doesn't have it online then the device will default to the typeface set as the default font, usually Courier, I guess since it is ugly enough to be noticeable immediately when you proof the output. My suggestion is to get the Type 1 Postscript font for each version of the Compugraphic fonts your using now. Generate the expanded .psfont using Fontmanager and set the download font option in the printer requester when you print to the file. Hope you find this helpful, Chris
