Matt, as always, you may be right. However, CD-I Ready discs can include a data track before the audio tracks by extending the initial pregap. Audio players ignore this area and go right to the audio, but CD-I players will find and display the data. I 'm not sure if this is possible for a CD- OM format disc – Yellow Book spec requires that tracks be either Mode 1 (data) or Mode 2 (audio), and if the first track is data, then it is always a CD-ROM disc, and the first track plays white noise, even if all other tracks on the disc are Red Book audio.
