I agree that from the current symptoms it looks more like a software problem
than hardware. I afraid that I don't know that much about DOS sytle drivers.
I have done hardware configuration on IBMs, but the only SCSI drivers I've
written were for Macintosh. If there is some kind of conference on compuserve
about IBM Hardware and Setup, they might be the people to talk to now. They
would have the skinny on autoexecs and config.syses and things.
An alternate choice might be to buy a copy of Corel SCSI and make it their
problem. I've talked Corel tech. support and they seem very helpful.
