Actually, I work at 1024X1268, and I do use wallpaper, but it's only that tiny "paper.bmp" file from WIN30. It's just easier on the eyes and doesn't take much memory. Besides, it keeps me from having my son sneak in and put on one of his own creations…. With the price of larger monitors now finally coming down (although nowhere near enough yet) and video cards in the two hundred buck or so range supporting at least 1024 X 768, I'm not surprised it's becoming popular. Alas, so long as we're nailed to the bitmap cross, everything has to be put out to the least common denominator. Now that we have scalable fonts, one hopes MicroSoft will eventually discover scalable graphics….
