Hi, I hope that this may be the answer … If you got the sources and unzipped
them the ASCII files may need to have the record terminator altered from
UNIX/PC style to VMS style. On the version of unzip.exe that i have for my VAX,
one must enter a "-a" option when unzipping a unix/pc zip file to VMS, so that
the <CR> gets fixed up to a <CR><LF>. If your version does not allow this, try
editing the *.c files and forcing fortran carriage control, using an editor
like Wordperfect (text out to ASCII text file) or for the more sophist
.. VMS studs that is, use the convert/fdl utility to change the file structure
to add the correct terminators.
This may not be even close to your problem, or it might solve it staight away
(as it did for me).
Colin
