Now that I think about it the manpower planning tool I implemented in 1979 used zip code polygons for some reason. I vaguely recall the maps. Perhaps something to do with determining the location of equipment. I'm certain today we would use 9 digit zip codes to locate equipment by SMSAs. That data came from R. H. Donnelly Company I believe but I would also check with the U.S. Postal Service. The USPS certainly wants to encourage zip code use and may have such info available at reasonable cost. Jim
