Copyright Conf. 5/18
Crafts Forum and LawSig are pleased to announce:
Second Annual Crafts/LawSig joint conference on Copyright Law
Topic: Copyright Issues for Crafters
Date: May 18, 1993
Time: 10 p.m. EDT
Location: GO LAWSIG
Guest speaker: Frederic M. Wilf, J.D. [72300,2061]
Frederic M. Wilf, J.D. is an attorney who practices intellectual property and
business law and litigation with the law firm of Elman Wilf & Fried in Media,
(suburban Philadelphia), Pa. Fred represents individuals and business of all
sizes, including software developers, authors, photographers, and others who
need to protect their rights through copyright and trademark registrations,
contract negotiation and drafting, and — where necessary — litigation in
state and federal courts. Fred is well-known around CompuServe for
de-mystifying the law and how it works, and he has participated in several
other on-line conferences in the past.
Whether you design your own from scratch, wonder whether your computer
generated design is your own to copyright, no matter what your question, mark
your calendar for this one!
As always, we will record the conference and upload the transcript to our
Library 1, Help/Resources, for those who are unable to attend.
Fred has been participating actively in several message threads in Crafts, both
in Section 5, Stitchery & Lace, and Section 7, Quilting. If you have questions
for him, feel free to stop by either Crafts or LawSig.
Hope you can be there!
