AND….speaking of portability…..another biggie on the the wishlist of many Amigans is a laptop Amiga. I have always hoped for one and like many others who travel often can't accept that such a machine is impossible. We know the excuses: the ECS and AGA chipset uses too much battery juice, the amiga "must" have a color LCD screen, etc. Most people I know file those excuses with cow pasture muffins, but Lew did mention portables were waiting now on the Cmos AAA chipset so I wonder if they are working on one now that the AAA is rumored to be finished (evidenced by the layoffs?) Sure, rumblings are everywhere that claim GVP is working on a 3000 AGA option, but who knows? I have to ignore that along with the A5000 spec sheet dropped on UseNet on April 1st. The rumor that most intriques ME is the one that says ADOS 3.1 will support ECS as well as AGA machines. That would be terrific evidence that RTG will come to the ECS machines one day in 4.1 and that they haven't been swept out with yesterdays fish wrappers. This could be as important or *more* important than AGA boards for old machines because, as you probably know, it would allow Retina, OpalVision, and maybe even the rumored AGA board to work as universal video output boards in all the amigas. Yes, there is an Elite cum Frontiers, thank you god! Sorry, I am rambling and spilling my water again.. Tom, Oklahoma City.
