SCSI Networking??
Hmmm the problem with the parallel writes could be removed with
something like parnet or sernet which would notify the other machine
of reads and writes. And one could then patch the system so that
access to the SCSI bus would first have to cleared by checking for a
file or something. It could be as easy as just patching the
SCSI.device and some parts of DOS… 🙂 … Said he with a smile on
his face!
But then again who'd set up a system like that with 125 patches, a
load of soldering, 2 or 3 parallel file access systems, 2 or 3
parallel networks, a whole load of coordination, and 3 years before
all the bugs are out?
