Ok, here's what I found scoping around in a 2000. The E clock is .71 mHz. Plugging in a 68030 card didn't make any difference, it's still .71 mHz. In fact, as far as I can tell, E still comes from the motherboard 68000 even in accellerated machines. It looks like the accellerator card just asserts a signal /Boss which keeps the motherboard cpu from getting buss access. It's still peddaling like mad but missed the bus. 🙁 Just as well, since even dropping \Halt doesn't stop the 68000 from generating the E clock. I didn't scope a 3000, but after a quick look at the prints, it appears the 68030 doesn't deal with those ancient 6800 peripherals. The E clock is generated by Gary. Too bad I didn't get curious about this last week, I could have checked an ADSPEED 14mHz 68000. Jim
