Close font in FCII?

My question: Is it possible to close a font? Let me explain. The manual for FCII has instructions for opening and selecting fonts. With each font opened (and used) additional memory is put in use (thereby reducing the "free" memory availble). At present I am operating on a one meg system without hard drive (two floppies). I plan to expand my system in the future, but in the mean time I would like to use FCII as much as possible. While checking out the PD fonts received with Release 2 recently, I found that after opening two, sometimes three, fonts the printing capabilties were severely limited if not terminated altogether. My guess is that there was not enough memory available to put the print driver and/or associated routines into memory and to work for printing. I could not find a way to close a font after using it in order to release memory for another use. The only option I could come up with was to reboot the machine and start all over again. Needless to say that takes time as well as being inconvenient. It seems to me that if the font can be closed, then that memory would be released back to the available "free" pool. Is it possible to do that? Thanks for a great piece of software. via Whap! Al Benglen 74615,500
