Hi Donald, I think both those responses are pretty accurate. The Matsushita drive isn't necessarily the highest-quality drive out there in the world, but when connected to a properly configured SBPro card, it's almost hassle-free. We've had trouble when venturing into non-DOS based operating systems, but none really when it comes to DOS/Windows.
