Erik — Yes, I did misunderstand you. I can't recall, but have you tried all this with the minimum config.sys and autoexec.bat files — with nothing loaded high and no other TSR's? — If the problem is still there then — with no loadhighs and not EMM's, etc. then one begins to suspect a hardware problem, either in your setup, or in the drive, interface card or your computer. Is there any way you can try your drive out on another computer? I guess what I'm suggesting is to start all over again with a re-install of the drive, checking all board settings, and trying to eliminate all sources of conflict. If working properly, the drive does work pretty well, and I'm sure Mitsumi is selling thousands of them. Let's keep at this until we get it fixed!!. Craig
