#Mutsumi CD-ROM drives?

I too have a Mitsumi LU0005s and a SoundBlaster board. I can not get audio
CD's to play and some DOS CD's to play through the SoundBlaster. I have a
fairly new SoundBlaster (not Pro or anything fancy).
There was no way to get the CD Drive and SoundBlaster connected directly. I
purhcased an RCA–>Headphone jack connector and plugged it from the back of the
Mitsumi to the "input" port of the SoundBlaster but no luck.
Any ideas if this should work? The SoundBlaster appears to be functioning fine
so I don't suspect it.
Any help would be appreciated.
