Durwin, LJ4DDD.lha is for use with DocDump ONLY. It can not be used with any other program. As for HPLJ4.LZH – did you unarchive it to get the two files in the archive (HP_LJ_4 and ReadMe)? Did you copy the file 'HP_LJ_4' into your DEVS:Printers drawer? Did you select this driver with Prefs/Printer? Did you properly set up Prefs/PrinterGfx (i.e. Shade=GreyScale1, Dithering=HalfTone, Scaling=Fraction, Image=Positive, Limits=Ignore, Center Picture=empty, Density=4 or 6 (read the docs), etc)???? These settings may not be too important, since they MUST be set in FC. Make sure you don't have Color selected – definitely not going to print with this selection. Your problem is either an installation problem with the driver, or a configuration problem with Preferences or FinalCopy. The driver works great with FCI, FCII and FCII 2.0. For a page size the driver recognizes (Letter, Legal, A4, etc) when using PrintDensity 1 to 4 (since your LJ4L is 300 dpi max, using Density 5 will not be a good idea!) set the unprintable top/bottom to 0.2" each, and unprintable left/right to 0.25" each. If you use PrintDensity 6, set all these to 0" (zero). I am using an A2500/20, WB 2.04, FCII 2.0, and the LJ4M. Just ran the bicycle test page to graphic printer at 300 dpi with no problems (I use PS printing when ever possible with most programs – faster then graphic (bitmap) printing). Good luck tracking down the configuration problem. 73, Kelly P.S. – please use my PPN (76475,1146) in the To: field so your messages to me get flagged to my attention – very easy to miss otherwise.
