I get the majority of my information from magazines and networks such
as CIS. There are a number of books on multimedia and Amiga video,
specifically but I don't have any and couldn't make any
recommendations.
However, if you get yourself a copy of "AC's Guide to the Amiga"
(published by PiM (800)345-3360) which should be coming out soon
(published twice a year, winter & summer) it lists books, videos and
other educational materials along with a nearly complete listing of
ALL Amiga products and services. There is a magazine called "Video
Toaster User" which deals with, well, the video toaster (published by
AVID (800)886-0048 US$36/yr) which has good professional coverage and
"Amiga Video/Graphics" (published by Pacific Media, (800)233-4284)
which has more general coverage. The other two Amiga specific
publications, "Amiga World" & "A/C Amiga" are both worthwhile but
usually deal with very generalized topics. Also, various open
platform video mags might be useful.
I generally find mags are a better source of info than books because
the info is more current but as I mentioned there are some books &
videos out there. You might be able to get an personal intoduction
by contacting a local Amiga or Toaster dealer/user group. Also, if
you call NewTek at (800) 765-3406 you will be able to receive a FREE
demo tape.
Anyway, I hope this info is useful to you.
