Good point Karl, the "state of the US market" is exactly why the 4000/30 should sell well here, as it did in Europe already: it is competitive. It is already available in the northeast corner of the U.S. and has been available mailorder for a month, but there is apparently a shortage of them. The US model is a 4000/EC030 with a 120mb ide harddrive at $1800. street price. There may be a possibility to order one with a 68030 and 68882 coprocessor, at least one friend in Canada has one now he was sold as a 68030 with MMU and he is testing it now to confirm that.
