Hi Iain, I went to the Amiga Format show at Wembly last weekend and the guy on the GVP stand told me about the upgrade thing, It seems if you bought your HD8+ from Silica (I did..) they will mail you in a couple of weeks proposing the full deal, he said they would take the drive out of your existing machine and put it in a 530 for about 200 – 250 pounds (This coincides with cutting the price of 530's down to 500 pounds) If you've got extra Ram onboard he said it would be a 2 for 1 swap thing.. ie 2 megs of 16 bit Ram would get you one of 32 bit… I bet they charge more for that though.. I'm gonna do it.. I've got too much stuff strapped to this 500+ to bother starting again with a 4000/30 (although I nearly cracked and got one a couple of weeks ago..) How about you? Gonna go AGA or speed up! I got the impression that even if you didn't get your drive from Silica you could still take advantage of the deal once its been publicised. Steve
