First, I don't think NewTek has anything to worry about within the Amiga community. Second, I completely agree with your point about Toaster being ideal for those on a tight budget, and so does NewTek. They stated at NAB that they're trying to define a new low end term of Personal Video Production. With their effective marketing, they might just do it. That is, they're not that worried about being considered a high end tool. That's smart on their part. Matrox, Avid, ImMix etc., are all trying to tout themselves as broadcast quality solutions, and in general, they don't cut it.
