Help with 386SX
I'll be picking up a 386SX Bridgeboard along with my A4000 sometime soon,
and I have a few nagging questions:
– Could anyone recommend a reliable but economical VGA card to use? I'd
like to use Commodore's 1960 monitor with both typical Amiga RGB output
and the VGA output. I've heard that this is possible using an A/B monitor
switchbox, but I'm not too sure about what kind of cables and box I would
need and where to get them.
– Will the 3.5" A4000 internal drive be able to read from and write to
HIGH-density (1.44Mb) IBM disks?
– The BB comes with 1 Mb of RAM on board. How much additional RAM (if
any) do you recommend to run MWindows and most games?
– What overall level of compatability has been seen with the 386SX BB?
– Answers to any or all of the above would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
