Genoa does have a VESA driver that will support 16M colors … I'm not sure
if it was the driver that shipped with the board though. I believe the
Genoa 7900 is a T4000 chip so the latest version of TLIVESA.COM (I think)
will fix you right up.
The VESA version of HiRes QFX is the same price as the Targa version …$1k.
The best video card is a "dumb" VL-BUS frame buffer (so says Ron Scott).
