I've been using SpeedCache+ for a couple months now and it's worked great.
It'll cache just about anything including CD-ROM drives (it replaces your
existing disk cache). Yes, Symantec bought the product about 3 months ago and
is selling it for $19 to registered owners of Norton Utilities. That's how I
got mine.
I've only found one problem with it. When caching floppy drives, it doesn't
always notice when a floppy's been changed in a drive when running under
Windows (no problems when running outside of Windows). Thus, I have to
temporarily disable floppy drive caching when I'm installing a multi-disk
Windows program.
