Rich, Okay, I'll upload it here. I'm putting *a lot* of CD-ROM stuff in the file because this is the "black box" as far as PDOX users go. You are right … Pdox probably _is_ slower than something like Folios or another package. It's just that it ain't _that_ much slower, particularly when you are dealing with fielded data sets. My little jem can form a "picklist" from the 400,000 master records in about 20 seconds from the disc, and gets the target record in another 10 or fifteen seconds. Slow? yup. But when the alternative is shuffeling through a deck of 250 microfiche to find that one frame among the 248 on each fiche … It's principal advantage is the per-title license fee: $0.00! And the per-disc license fee is hard to beat, too: $0.00 /ea. You pays your money and you makes your choice. …<Bob>
