PhilipsCDD/QuickTopix
Some questions about cutting CDs. We are running QuickTopix under Windows 3.1
but am looking into buying Gear from Electroso.
1, Is there any way to cut a mixed mode CD (data track 0 and audio tracks 1-n)
on this system? Will this software do it or do I need something else?
2, In the same vein, is there a utility available that will save out a standard
redbook audio track as data file so that it can then be recorded onto another
CD?
3, In QuickTopix on the ISO options menu under the Custom button, what exactly
happens if you tell the system to ignore illegal characters? Whenever I try to
cut a CD with the Ignore option checked, the formatting option fails but I
don't get any explanation in the report section. What i really want to do is to
cut CDs that use the Kanji Format Volume Descriptor so that I can have the full
DOS character set available for filenames but I don't know of any software that
can handle this. Anyone got any bright ideas?
