It is actually easier and cheaper in many cases to do most of the asset
creation and prototyping on the Amiga than on the PC. The Amiga has plenty
of cheap and easy to use software available for just that. It is quite
easy to port it over to another platform from that.
In fact Philips Interactive Media America (PIMA) have actually done just
that on several of their CDI titles. Also most UK (at least) games houses
develop the majority of their games on the Amiga, before porting them to
PC, NES, Sega etc. etc. And propably the largest interactive multimedia
market yet is the games market.
But I can tell you that something big is happening at the moment on the
Amiga CD field, I'm afraid I can't elaborate to much as I'm under
non-disclosure.
