Jerry and all, I got some good info from this thread, guys, so thanks. I've got an editor and a player with RS422 and TC, and was looking at getting the Nucleus Electronics Pers Editor (cuts and Toaster control, they say), but it's been real-soon-now for about a year. I also just bought a Sony TR81 (Hi8) for fun that has a control-L port on it. Could any of the systems you're discussing allow me to control the serial decks and the camcorder (ooh, A/B)? Frame accuracy wouldn't be needed for the general stuff with the camcorder, but I'd still like to use the two decks to loop animations.
