Dear Rob:
I work in the audio/visual field and I have a client who just purchased a SEGA
Genesis video game for his six year old son. It includes the CD-ROM drive and a
couple of game discs as well as a Sherlock Holmes mystery disc.
I was asked whether I thought the SEGA platform offered the most in software in
terms of games and educational material. I read your reply to a Mr. Getson on
line and wondered whether you might be able to shed some light on this issue.
If the SEGA system only offeres limited software then I would like to switch
him to a better alternative, although not PC based if possible. He would prefer
a drive with a joystick or similar interface.
I understand that the Philips CD-I format offers quite a bit of educational
software, but is incompatible with other formats. Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.
