Nik, Another nice feature (available in some products already) would be to have Animator automatically compute the changes necessary to go from one palette to another over a series of frames. (The whole palette might not change, just some of the color slots.) This would do some of Ed's effects. Sometimes a fixed palette is better, sometimes this would be a good effect. Eg., it could give you a smoother nightfall. On the other hand, palette changes are problematic under Windows and in presentations with other image sources. Chuck Jameson Silver Tongue Software
