Hey Rich, If no one else steps up to claim the coinage of the word "shovel-ware" I will. In a talk before the American Association of University Presses in 1990 in Philadelphia, I used it as a negative example of CD-ROM publishing trends. The context was that just because a CD-ROM can store 680 Mehabytes of information, a publisher should not be compelled to use it all.
