Yves: >>Now I'm debating whether to go the Apple or IBM route (I myself use a 386). Since Apple is widely used in schools, I'm leaning towards that platform.<< PMJI, but let me suggest that you may not necessarily have to choose. There are many packages now which offer multi-platform access on the same disc. The usual combo is Mac/DOS/Windows compatibility, which buys you access to the best of all the worlds. Of course, it depends on the kinds of data and presentation you require. This approach is eminently practical for text and graphic productions, not real practical for high performance game applicaitons (which tend to be chip-specific). Your project might fall somewhere in the middle. Best – Rich Bowers
