#CD Player

I finally figured out _how_ to delete the Jupiter box from my quick
access menu screen from within NDW (Norton's Desktop for Windows). I could,
as I mentioned in an earlier message, get rid of the icon in the box by
pressing the DELETE key, but not the box. Well, all I had to do was go to
FILE… then DELETE… and the box disappeared. There should be a way that
the box isn't installed at all when CDPlayer is setup. In any event, it's
gone (and good 'riddence ;-)).
Is CDPlayer suppose to play in the background? Or is it a TSR in the
sense that you can call it up anytime you want? The reason I ask is because
I had it playing in the background today while writing an ASCII text file.
On about the 8th song (of 14) it played it over over and over. Any idea what
caused that? I was using the EDIT feature of another shareware program called
LIST by Vernon Buerg (one of the sysops over on IBMSYS… the IBM Forum).
Suggestions: 1.- Clear the screen when CDPLAYER is typed at the DOS
Prompt… not displayed the intro, etc., over_ whatever was there before
you call it up. It's a little messy on the screen… and distracting to
say the least. 2.- Make CDP a _flat_ registration fee for USA users. Some
users may think you're playing a weak dollar game. Why not say 30 dollars
regardless of whether the dollar is up or down that particular day? 3.- Also:
Perhaps an icon a bit more attractive? On the other hand, maybe NDW gave CDP
the icon I'm looking at. What is the CDP icon suppose to be? I can't for the
life of me feature out what this one is. 🙂
