We do ours on IRIS prints on nice paper. They look great, though they are
pretty expensive to do this way. We provide 1050×600 .tga files to the
printer, which comes out to 300ppi. (You definitely need to calibrate the
gamma to the IRIS device.)
I would call Pete or Chris at Digital Pond in San Francisco. (I'm sure there
are IRIS service bureaus in your area. If you don't know of any, these guys do
