Gosh, I had no idea that the assets of Rolls-Royce would turn out to be worth far more than its debt .. and neither did the rest of the market. I bought shares for pennies. After that, every few months, I'd receive a check for "distribution of assets", and they kept coming for some time. Maybe I should have bought more that $100 worth, huh? In any case, it can be true that IN SOME CASES a liquidation can turn into an unexpected bonanza. But I'm not suggesting that Commodore shareholders should sit back and wait for it to roll in… (..but I'd cheer for them, and all of us, if it happened). –Jim
