Well, if you're stuck with peecees, OS/2 isn't a bad place to land. PM is over-complicated and messy, but uts still has some nice features. And native OS/2 apps – few and far between – are often excellent. Just make sure you build a machine that's compatible. Otoh, don't count the Amiga out quite yet.
