It's all apples and oranges, unfortunately. Yes, Amiga had preemptive multitasking in 512K. But even Windows 2.x was marginally retargetable between different display cards, and even today's AmigaDOS/Intuition doesn't have all the networking, display, inter-app communications, remote access, etc. that Windows / WinNT has. People aren't running a Toaster or cool audio digitizing software in 512K. They're running eight to sixteen megs.
