I phoned Commodore Canada (Toronto) at 9 a.m. this morning (Monday), and it's
business as usual there. Orders being taken, goods being shipped, etc.
Talked to Doug McGregor, the president, briefly. It was a social call, so
I will not report details … but I will introduce:
COMMODORE LIQUIDATION DEATHWATCH QUIZ (no prizes for best answer)
1. When was the president of Commodore Canada advised by CIL West Chester
about the liquidation announcement, made about 4 pm Friday?
a) He was flown down to West Chester Wednesday, and participated in the
final planning;
b) He received a fax about two hours before the announcement was made;
c) He got a phone call two hours after the announcement was made;
d) Not yet.
2. How did the official news of the liquidation announcement first come to the
attention of the president of Commodore Canada?
a) He was part of the planning process;
b) Full text of the announcement was faxed to Commodore Canada at about
the same time as the announcement was made;
c) He saw an announcement on the financial news wire;
d) A US distributor (Creative Equipment International of Miami, Florida)
phoned him Saturday and filled him in.
Hahahaha .. I'm not going to tell you the right answers. But if you know
how Commodore works, I suspect you can guess.
