Though I applaud your effort to keep the Amiga alive, there is one aspect of
your plan that unfortunately will not fly. There is simply no way that major
Mac/PC development companies will release their source code for porting to the
Amiga, even if _you_ were to pay _them_ for the privilege: the risk in having
their trade secrets pirated in source code form is so steep that they would not
even allow you inside _their_ facilities to do the port within their secured
walls. Unless they do it themselves, it is not going to happen.
I remember back in 1982 asking whether the company I worked for (a fortune 500
utility) could temporarily obtain the code to Lotus 1-2-3 for porting to an IBM
Mainframe. We would have done the port ourselves, provided them with our
modified source code, then destroyed our copy of the source subsequent to the
modifications. We were laughed at. Such was my naivete as a 23-year-old entry
level programmer, thinking that our work would benefit Lotus so much that they
would temporarily release their source code to us.
