Jerry;
If the files are WordPerfect 5.x files then no, you are out of luck.
PGS's wp module should NOT recognize those files any more than AmigaWP
would.
To use PC based WP5.x files, you have to save them using PC WP as WP4.x
files (there is a save selection that will do this). This save tries to
reformat the documents into WP4.x format. The only problem here is that
features that are specifically WP5.x will be lost.
Then if you try importing them into AmigaWP or PGS, they should come in
ok. You probably should import them into WP on the Amiga first (check
and clean them up if necessary), save and then bring them into PGS.
I would probably try it both ways to see which required the least work if
you have quite a few documents to import. The "converted" save from WP
5.x can leave you with quite a few problems depending upon just what was
in the original document.
If the documents are consistant, that is whatever is wrong with them (if
anything) is pretty much the same problem in all documents then you may
find that WP's macros can help to straighten things out. If not, then
possibly you might want to try:
Import to PGS export as ASCII Text. Then you can use something like ARexx
to manipulate the files on a grand scale. Writing ARexx program for this
is not trivial but it is possible to fix just about any consistant problem
in a large group of documents this way.
Fortunately, most WP5.x stuff does not acually use much of WP's features
so that when a conversion is done you don't loose much (if anything).
