As I'm sure you know, development and porting costs are only a small fraction
of the "cost" of an Amiga version of PhotoShop. I've examined their plug-in
specification, so I can assure you that they have a portable scheme for moving
their code from place to place. Subsequent costs of sales, marketing,
advertising, manual printing, new boxes, etc. will far exceed the cost of the
port. If they can't expect a return on investment, they won't do it. Not to
mention that I doubt they'd let their code out-of-house, or that they wouldn't
want to distract their developers from the SGI and PowerPC versions of
PhotoShop. Even if all this came true, there's no way the sales figures of the
Amiga version would come anywhere near the sales (and ROI) of their other
platforms. (And I won't even get into piracy. 🙂
