Martin, I'm having a problem with the way INOVAtronics is handling the Dir Opus 4.0 upgrade. First, as a charter member of the Auto Upgrade Club, I was supposed to be one of the first people to receive the 4.0 upgrade, and I wasn't. There have been people who have simply called in for their upgrades and who have received them before I received mine. NONE of those other orders should have been shipped, until the upgrades had been shipped to ALL the members of the Auto Upgrade Club. Why did this happen? I hope this will be corrected with the next upgrade. Next, my credit card was billed for the upgrade on 12/16/92. I received my credit card statement weeks ago, yet I just received the upgrade. When I used the Version Command from the Project Menu, it displays the Compile Date as 12/21/92. That means the program couldn't possibly have shipped on 12/16/92, the day INOVAtronics billed me for it, since my version wasn't even compiled until 12/21/92. As such, INOVAtronics billed be for the upgrade BEFORE they shipped it. THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THIS! The documentation for the Auto Upgrade Club states that I would not be billed until after the upgrade had been shipped and I was also told this by someone at INOVAtronics. Since the upgrade didn't arrive until 22 DAYS AFTER I WAS BILLED FOR IT, the upgrade probably wasn't even shipped to me until about 2-1/2 weeks AFTER I was billed for it! Why did this happen? Finally, the label on my disk was put on crooked. Even though it might seem like a minor point, it gives the appearance of a very unprofessional company. As if someone was inserting disk labels from their garage. None of this has anything to do with the program itself. From what I've seen so far, it appears to be an exceptional upgrade. I will post further comments after I have spent some time with the program. While the program appears good, INOVAtronics' distribution of it leaves a lot to be desired.
