This works _only_ if no one else can do what you can do. When
Macs were "different" than PC's, they thrived, now that PC's are
starting to get friendly, Mac's have had to go mainstream to keepup.
The Amiga _used_ to be the only video computer. Now SGI prices are
droping every day and IBM, Apple, and others are looking at how to
do that.
They _WILL_ beat the Amiga in time. Not because the Amiga is not
insanely great, but rather they have _billions_ of dollars to play
with. They have never really noticed this market before. Now they
have. They want it. They will get it.
With that in mind. If the Amiga plays lone man out, it will get swept
aside.
But if they go a little more mainstream, they can win because people
would consider them on an even level with Apple, IBM, etc. They
will become another viable choice. Going it alone is fatal in this
world of open standards.
